Frequently Asked Questions
Q. I can’t purchase Pro
If the purchase doesn’t go through when you tap the button, the cause is usually your store account settings (App Store / Google Play) rather than the app itself. Please try the following in order.
Android (Google Play)
- Restart your device and try again
- Open the Play Store app, tap your account icon at the top-right, then “Payments & subscriptions”, and make sure a valid payment method is set
- If your device has more than one Google account, make sure the Play Store is using the same account you installed this app with
- If you pay with cash or carrier billing, the purchase isn’t active until the payment is complete. Check its status in the Play Store’s “Order history”
iOS (App Store)
- Restart your device and try again
- Open Settings, tap your name, then “Payment & Shipping”, and make sure a valid payment method is set
- Check Settings, “Screen Time”, “Content & Privacy Restrictions”, and make sure in-app purchases are allowed
If you already bought Pro but the app is back to the free version, open the Pro screen on a device signed in with the account you purchased with and tap “Restore purchase”.
If none of this helps, reach out via the contact form with (1) the exact error message (or what happens when you tap the button), (2) your device model and OS version, and (3) whether you’ve already been charged. We’ll look into it and get back to you.
Q. What’s the difference between Free and Pro?
| Item | Free | Pro |
|---|---|---|
| Projects | Up to 3 | Unlimited |
| PDF watermark | Yes | No |
| Templates | 3 (Standard / Before-After / Inspection) | All 6 (Standard / Before-After / Inspection / Photo Album / Issue Summary / Photo Ledger) |
| Company logo in PDFs | No | Yes (cover and every page header) |
Pro is a one-time purchase, not a subscription (no monthly or yearly fee).
Project duplication, comment snippets, the blackboard stamp and photo numbering are available in the free version too. (Duplicated projects count toward the 3-project limit on the free plan.)
Q. I bought Pro — can I use it on another device?
Yes. On any device signed in with the same Apple ID, open the Pro screen in the app and tap “Restore purchase”. There is no extra charge.
Q. I switched phones and Pro is no longer active
Open the Pro screen and tap “Restore purchase”. As long as the new device is signed in with the same Apple ID, Pro will be restored at no cost.
Q. Where is my data stored?
All data is stored on your device, and nothing is sent to the developer’s servers. (Only if you enable iCloud sync as a Pro user is the data also stored in your own Apple account’s iCloud.) Uninstalling the app removes all of its data.
Q. Can I back up the data?
Yes. From the “Backup” section of the Settings screen you can export all of your data — projects and photos — as a single backup file, free of charge. To migrate to a new device: tap “Create backup (export)” on the old device, transfer the file via AirDrop or cloud storage, then tap “Restore from backup (import)” on the new device.
Note that restoring replaces all current data on the device with the contents of the backup. Your Pro purchase is not included in the backup file — tap “Restore purchase” after restoring your data.
Pro users can also enable iCloud sync from the Settings screen to share the same projects automatically between iPhone and iPad. The data is stored in your own Apple account’s iCloud, and no app sign-in is required.
Q. Photos aren’t showing up
If photos attached to older projects stop showing up after reinstalling the app, the cause is most likely data created with a much older version of the app (v1.0.0 or earlier). Projects created on the latest version are not affected.
Q. Can I add multiple photos at once?
Yes. On the project detail screen, tap “Photos” — that opens the iOS photo picker, where you can select several photos and tap “Add”. They are all added to the project at once. When you add multiple photos in bulk, the per-photo edit screen is skipped; tap each photo afterward to add a title, comment, or category. (Selecting just one photo continues to take you straight to the edit screen as before.)
Q. Can I record a work period like “May 2 – May 5” instead of a single day?
Yes. On the project edit screen, after picking a “Work date”, choose an “End date (optional)” below it to record the work as a period. Leave the end date empty and it’s treated as a single day, just like before. When you set a range, it appears as “2026/05/02 – 2026/05/05” on the project list and the PDF cover.
Q. I want to create several similar projects at once (project duplication)
Tap the ⋮ menu on the top-right of any project card on the list, then choose Duplicate. You get a new project with all photos, comments, and project info carried over. Useful for recurring inspections or returning clients (“copy last month’s project and just retake the photos”). The duplicated project is independent — edits and deletions do not affect the original. Photo files are also copied as separate files. Duplicates count toward the 3-project limit on the free plan.
Q. Can I save frequently used comments as snippets?
Yes. In the Settings screen, the “Comment snippets” section lets you register phrases like “No issues found”, “Re-check needed”, or “Cleaning complete”. A “Insert snippet” button appears under the comment field on the photo edit screen — tap it to pick from your list. If the comment field already has text, the snippet is appended on a new line.
Q. Can I use it for reports other than construction? (renaming fields such as “Project” or “Before”)
Yes. From version 1.1.5, open Settings, then “Report field names” under PDF settings. You can rename the report title, Project, Client, Work date, Location, Staff, the photo categories (Before / During / After) and the photo ledger fields such as “Project”, “Work period”, “Contractor” and “Work type”.
Tap Construction, Inspection, Cleaning or General report to fill in a matching set of names at once, adjust any field, then tap Save. Blank fields keep their default names. The new names appear on the input screens, the photo categories, the PDF and the blackboard stamp. Available in the free version too.
Q. Can I put the shooting date on photos?
Yes. From version 1.1.7, open Settings and choose Date or Date and time under “Stamp the shooting date on photos” in PDF settings. The date is overlaid in small text in the bottom-right corner of each photo in the PDF (it’s Off by default). The photo files themselves are not changed. Available in the free version too.
Photos imported from your camera roll keep the date they were taken. Photos without that information use the time they were imported.
Q. Can I add blackboards to all the photos in a project at once?
Yes. From version 1.1.7, open the project’s menu and tap “Add blackboards to all photos” to add a blackboard to every photo that doesn’t have one yet. “Remove blackboards from all photos” in the same menu removes them all, and you can also remove them one by one. Neither changes the photo files.
Q. Can I zoom in on a photo?
Yes. From version 1.1.8, tap the photo on the photo edit screen to view it full screen, then pinch or double-tap to zoom in. The blackboard and shooting date are shown in the same position as on the PDF.
Q. Can I rotate a photo, or replace it with a different one?
Yes. From version 1.1.8, use Rotate left / Rotate right on the photo edit screen. The new orientation is also used in the project’s photo list and the PDF. The photo file itself is not changed.
To swap in a retaken photo, open the menu (⋮) at the top-right of the photo edit screen and choose Replace photo. The title, comment, category, blackboard and order are kept. The shooting date is taken from the new photo.
Q. Can I put just one large photo on each PDF page?
Yes. From version 1.1.8, open Settings and set “Photos per PDF page” to One large photo. The default is As the template. The Photo Ledger (a table-style layout) is not affected.
Q. Typing the client and staff names every time is tedious
From version 1.1.8, names you’ve entered before appear as chips under the Client name, Location and Staff in charge fields on the project screen. Tap one to fill it in.
All of the features above are available in the free version too.
Q. My backup or iCloud sync data seems large
Version 1.1.9 makes backups and iCloud sync data lighter. After updating, open the app once, then choose Create backup (export) again (or Sync now if you use iCloud sync). Your projects and photos stay exactly as they are, and photos in the Photos app are not affected.
Q. What is the notice at the top of the Settings screen?
From version 1.1.9, a short notice from the developer (a usage tip, a survey request and so on) may appear at the top of Settings and once right after you share or print a PDF. You can close it with the × button, and a closed notice does not come back. When there is no notice, nothing is shown and the app works exactly as before.
Q. I want to embed my company logo in the PDF (Pro)
With Pro, open Settings → PDF logo image and upload an image (PNG or JPEG). Your logo appears in the top-right of the PDF cover and in each page header automatically. Remove the logo to revert to the standard no-logo layout.
Q. How do I remove the PDF watermark?
Buy Pro. The “SAMPLE” watermark is hidden once Pro is active.
Q. Is there an Android version?
Available on both iOS (App Store) and Android (Google Play).
Q. Billing / refunds
Refunds follow the policy of the store where you purchased. For App Store purchases, contact Apple support; for Google Play purchases, see Google Play help.
